About Me

I was raised in the Seattle area and completed my B.S. in Psychology from the University of Washington. I went on to complete my doctorate in clinical psychology from Pacific University in Oregon in 2014. I completed multiple practicums as a member of an anxiety-focused treatment team that included specialized training in cognitive-behavioral treatments for social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and compulsive hoarding and acquiring. I completed my predoctoral internship at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center where I received specialized training and supervision in evidence-based treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder including Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy.

I returned to Seattle to complete my postdoctoral fellowship at the Anxiety Center at the Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle (EBTCS). I continued working as an anxiety specialist at EBTCS for 3 years prior to founding NWCBT. I am also a graduate of the intensive training program for comprehensive model for behavioral treatment (ComB) of body-focused repetitive behaviors including hair-pulling and skin-picking.  I have been active in the community providing workshops and talks on topics of Anxiety, OCD, and Hoarding Disorder.

In addition to my work with anxiety disorders, my background includes experience with treatments for substance abuse, adjustment to disability, grief, relationship problems, and depression. I have a strong clinical interest in helping individuals achieve optimum mental health.

When I am not working, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, traveling, reading, and playing with my two cats.
